School Nurse, Day Academy

Devereux/TCV Community Services seeks a caring School Nurse for its new Day Academy in Homestead, PA

Devereux/TCV Community Services in Homestead, PA provides programs and services for children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and dual diagnoses. In this position you will lead, influence and provide quality care and outstanding performance in the areas of direct nursing care with established nursing procedures, regulatory compliance and best practices. We are offering you an opportunity to organize and administer an effective school health program that will help our students to attain and maintain their optimum health status so that they may receive maximum benefit from their educational experience!

*Location:* Day Academy, Homestead, PA

*Qualifications:*

· Requires a Pennsylvania RN License (BSN preferred).

· School Nurse Certification by the PA Department of Education preferred.

· Two (2) years of recent clinical or school nursing experience preferred or completion of a Nursing refresher course.

· Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and computer skills required.

· A valid PA Driver’s License with three (3) year driving history required.

· State Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances, required.

· Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.

· Have a strong passion for working with and helping children with special needs.

*Pay Rate: Hourly Pay Rate of $33.80 to $38.52 *(increases depending on related experience).
