School Nurse (RN) - Urgent Role

New Brunswick School District is seeking passionate and dedicated School Nurses to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of our students, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for learning.

Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff in accordance with state regulations and district policies.

Assess and evaluate the health needs of students and develop individualized healthcare plans as necessary.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students with chronic health conditions.

Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records for students.

Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote wellness initiatives within the school community.

Maintain confidentiality of student health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certification in School Nursing preferred or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.

Prior experience working with children and adolescents preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary

Current CPR and First Aid certification.
