Job Description:
Soliant, in collaboration with school districts in the Saginaw, MI area, is seeking a dedicated and qualified School-Based Psychologist. As a crucial member of the educational team, the School-Based Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and adolescents, possess excellent munication skills, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Interpret assessment results and provide remendations for educational programming and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students individually and in groups
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention strategies
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid Michigan certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- At least one year of recent experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting
- Strong understanding of psychological principles and assessment techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and munication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff
- Proficiency in using assessment tools and educational software
