RESPONSIBILITES
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
School Safety Guard
- Must have current ARGUS certification through the Pasco Sheriff’s office.
- School Safety Guards will be:
- Responsible for:
- providing security to campuses,
- conducting necessary drills,
- responding to emergency situations and taking appropriate action in accordance with established guidelines,
- assisting school administration and law enforcement with threat assessments.
- Will conduct campus walkthroughs and safety checks.
- Will be a uniformed school employee located at their assigned campus location.
- Will have access to a firearm on campus.
- Will have no authority to arrest.
- Will not work with student discipline nor have any law enforcement authority.
- Each school safety guard must undergo a background screening, a psychological exam, annual drug and alcohol screening, and pass the rigorous specialized school safety guard training through the Pasco County Sheriff’s office.
- Will be required to attend regular training, per school guidelines, and re-qualify annually with the Pasco County Sheriff’s office.
IT Support
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for students, teachers, and staff.
- Help Desk Support: Provide front-line assistance via phone, email, or in-person to address IT-related inquiries and problems.
- Network Maintenance: Ensure the school's computer network is operational, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
- Software Installation and Updates: Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications used in educational environments.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the school's IT infrastructure, including antivirus software and firewalls.
- Classroom Technology Integration: Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology into the classroom, ensuring that educational tools and software are effectively utilized.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of IT assets, maintain an updated inventory, and assist with procurement of new equipment as needed.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions for faculty and students on basic IT skills and best practices.
