Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with the local school district, is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position during the 2023-2024 school year in Manassas, VA. If you are passionate about supporting students' communication development and enhancing their overall educational experience, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans developed by Speech-Language Pathologists
Work with individuals or small groups of students to support their communication goals
Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and support staff to provide comprehensive services
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Support the overall communication needs of students in the school setting

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
Virginia State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Experience working in a school setting is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
