Job Description:

Soliant and its affiliates are seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Based Social Worker to join our team in Maplewood, NJ. As a school-based social worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students, helping them navigate challenges and thrive in their academic and personal lives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, needs, and risk factors, and develop intervention plans to promote positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop strategies for supporting students' social and emotional development.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and stress management.
• Coordinate with community resources and agencies to provide additional support and services for students and families as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• New Jersey state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or eligibility for licensure.
• At least one year of recent experience working as a social worker in a school or related setting.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based interventions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
