Karter Schools is looking for a Science and Technology Teacher

Karter Schools was named Best Preschool by Northern Virginia Magazine and we are seeking the best of the best to join our Karter Team. We are seeking a Technology Teacher with two or more years of early education experience in a quality childcare environment. Please respond to this ad if you are an overachiever and can prove it. Duties Performed but not limited to:

• Introducing the basic concepts of information technology to preschool and elementary children


• Keeping up to date with the latest technology so that he/she can impact the latest knowledge to students


• Imparting a strong foundation to children that will help them in the future


• Interacting with students and understanding their learning capabilities


• Make lessons interesting for children

How Success will be measured:

• Students look forward to attending your class


• You are well-prepared for each lesson


• Every child is given the opportunity to contribute in a way which honours their particular learning style

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Childhood Education or a closely related field


• Passion for teaching and working with children in group settings and individually


• Excellent customer service skills


• Comfortable with team-based work structure


• Ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job


• Strong written and verbal skills


• Initiative, conscientiousness, and comprehensive follow-through in areas of responsibility


• Ability to consistently model superior teaching and care-giving skills
