Job Description:
The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates Thermo Fisher Scientific values - Integrity Intensity Innovation and Involvement! This individual enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary environment and will possess the following combination of education and experience:
Key Responsibilities:
Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries
Participate in process optimization development and scale-ups for routine production
Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation including ion-chromatography particle sizing and surface area instruments
Analyze data derive conclusions document findings write SOPs and prepare reports
Present written and oral reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups with RD and manufacturing divisions
Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of Thermo Fishers Ion Chromatography portfolio
Follow all EHS safety requirements participate in safety improvement activities and carry out to ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy
Qualifications:
Hands on experience in the Chemistry laboratory wet chemistry
Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to lift the weights up to 40 lbs and meet all physical demands to work in chemical laboratory
Possibility for OT: Occasional OT
Contract Length: 12 months (possibility to extend)
