The Anatomic Pathology Group within *** Research Laboratories in South San Francisco is seeking a contractor with attention to detail who can support front-to-back sample management and shipment organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
" Inventory and registration of tissue samples.
" Label tissue samples according to internal identification and tissue type.
" Catalog stained slides and FFPE tissue blocks for archival purposes.
" Communicate closely with external vendors to organize periodic shipments.
" May be asked to manage various tasks in support of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory human tissue panels.
Quals--
Required Education: Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with equivalent direct work experience of minimum two (2) years of in laboratory setting within hospital/pharma/biotech or CRO.
" Proficiency in working with tabular data (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
" Strong organizational and time management skills
" Strong written communication skills
" Proven track record of analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
" High personal integrity and credibility
Preferred Experience and Skills:
" Proficiency in Labware Biorepository database, or similar tissue banking software
" Prior experience in sample management
" Prior experience in logistics
Note: 100% onsite lab based role at SSF,CA site.
