Job Title: Scientist - II (Associate) Location: South San Francisco, CAJob Duration:12 MonthsPay range: $30 - $34.75 /Hour. On W2Job Description:- The Anatomic Pathology Group within Client Research Laboratories in South San Francisco is seeking a contractor with attention to detail who can support front-to-back sample management and shipment organization.
Responsibilities: - Inventory and registration of tissue samples.
- Label tissue samples according to internal identification and tissue type.
- Catalog-stained slides and FFPE tissue blocks for archival purposes.
- Communicate closely with external vendors to organize periodic shipments.
- May be asked to manage various tasks in support of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory human tissue panels.
Preferred Experience and Skills:- Proficiency in Labware Biorepository database, or similar tissue banking software
- Prior experience in sample management
- Prior experience in logistics
Education:- Required Education: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree with equivalent direct work experience of minimum two (2) years of in laboratory setting within hospital/pharma/biotech or CRO.
- Proficiency in working with tabular data (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Proven track record of analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
- High personal integrity and credibility
