Screw Machine Operator

*Stock and operator two multiple spindle automatics for a normal range of operations following standard procedures and general instructions.

*Maintain established production standards.

*Operate only after set ups have been made and checked by others.

*Gage work, remove, sharpen, reset or replace dull tools, make slight adjustments when necessary.

*Perform routine machine maintenance such as maintaining oil level, keeping oil screen free of chips, turn handle on oil filter, oil reel stands, etc.

*Perform required quality checks on production parts using gages, verniers, micrometers checking parts to prescribed quality standards.

*Perform bench work (sort, repair, wash parts) as required.

*Maintain housekeeping of work bench and general machine area.

*Notify leader of machine problems.

Occasionally assist other operators and instruct lower-classed operator or trainees.
