Eaton\u2019s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Screw Machine Operator - 1st Shift. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nResponsible for directing, assisting, and leading a group of employees performing various machining operations. Ensures workflow efficiency, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols. Performs minor machine adjustments and supports production continuity.\n\n * Perform threading, grooving, chamfering, turning, tapping, reaming, serrating, boring, facing, drilling, and similar operations on departmental conventional machines excluding hand turret.\n * Produce a variety of parts from a variety of materials.\n * Make minor tooling adjustments and resets to maintain specified dimensions.\n * Inspect first pieces and verify machine setup before releasing to operators.\n * Adhere to machine safety procedures.\n * Operate Single and Multi-Spindle Drill Presses and other conventional machines.\n * Load castings and bar stock to maintain continuous machine operation.\n * Wash and pack plated parts to support machine cycles.\n * Use measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers, scales) to verify part accuracy.\n * Detect and report faulty operations or materials.\n * Operate fork truck and hand trucks to move materials.\n * Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area.\n * Perform TPM activities including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening of bolts.\n * Perform base clean outs as needed.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * A minimum of one (1) year of experience in machining operations.\n * Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
