Join our dynamic team at General Dynamics as an Embedded Linux/RTOS Engineer. We're looking for a motivated individual to support our Software Loader and Verifier team, focusing on vehicle electronic systems integration.
Key Responsibilities: Agile Leadership: Guide the Scrum Team in using Agile practices to deliver top-notch products and services. Team Development: Elevate the team's performance by identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Scrum Adherence: Ensure the team understands and follows Scrum principles and practices. Coaching: Mentor the team in self-organization and effective communication, both internally and externally. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive decision-making and support project teams. Impediment Resolution: Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to overcome obstacles and enhance Scrum application. Agile Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Agile practices within the organization. Event Facilitation: Lead all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Software Deployment: Load components with software images to deploy releases in lab environments and vehicles. System Configuration: Build and configure VxWorks, Linux, or other embedded operating systems. Programming: Perform Linux system programming tasks, including driver development and hardware enablement. Software Integration: Integrate various software into build systems. Software Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. Security: Enable embedded system security using cryptography and secure architectures. Prioritization: Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with 3+ years as a Scrum Master. Skills: Troubleshooting low-level software issues, developing maintainable C/C++ code, proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience: Technical Skills: Knowledge of Linux device drivers, bootloaders, memory maps, safety-critical systems, real-time systems, build environments like Buildroot, OpenEmbedded, Yocto, and tools like Eclipse, GIT, DOORs, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, gdb, or QT. Agile Practices: Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment. Security: Familiarity with SELinux, verified boot, and trusted execution environments. Additional Information: Clearance: May require eligibility for a US security clearance. Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills. Environment: Prototype shop, laboratory, manufacturing, and office settings. Flexibility: Ability to work overtime as needed and bring continuous improvement methodologies to the position. Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, capable of working well both individually and in a team. Experience: Previous work on ground combat vehicles is a plus.
