SDS Director of Test Engineering

Develop and foster Test Engineering vision aligned to overall division engineering vision of world-class engineering. Develop and drive progress of Test Engineering goals and milestones. Responsible for establishing and directing the implementation of test engineering process and governance driving consistency across program/product teams at all locations and multiple subcontractor locations. Responsible for establishing and implementing test tools and automation to drive standardization and efficiency across the directorate. Responsible for developing training to ensure test teams are trained and capable of test execution. Participate in establishing and directing the implementation of model-based digital engineering processes used in the design and development of Test Engineering execution and test lab design at all levels of decomposition. Ensure test engineering first time quality of products, manage auditing, and oversight functions including metrics development and management. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Bachelor's Degree in STEM and 10 year's experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries Must have 5 years experience leading functional or program test teams Must have 5 years in a formal engineering management / technical leadership experience Active Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years with ability to obtain SAP access Ability to travel 25% of the time 10 years experience in EMD test across lab, ground, and flight test and leading test campaigns. Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and DoD leadership personnel Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively work within a team environment Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and applicable SAP accesses
