Seasonal Field Supervisor - Quality of Life Project

Are you a strong leader with a passion for research and quality assurance? Vital Research is seeking a Seasonal Field Supervisor (July 22, 2025, to March 20, 2026) to oversee and support a team of Quality Assurance Mentors (QAMs) and field interviewers conducting structured interviews in long-term care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys coaching and mentoring, and is committed to ensuring high-quality data collection. 

What You’ll Do 

• Travel & Remote Work Balance: Travel to facilities for in-person oversight when necessary while maintaining remote work responsibilities. 

• Supervise & Support Field Staff: Oversee QAMs and field interviewers across the state, conducting observations, coaching, and performance evaluations. 

• Train & Mentor Staff: Guide new and existing field staff, providing hands-on training in data collection procedures and technical equipment. 

• Manage Field Logistics: Assist with scheduling, documentation, and troubleshooting technology or procedural challenges. 

• Address Challenges in the Field: Provide guidance on scheduling conflicts, technology issues, interpersonal concerns, and reports of potential abuse or neglect. 

• Collaborate with the Research Team: Communicate observations and field staff progress to the project team, ensuring seamless operations. 

• Ensure Data Quality & Compliance: Monitor adherence to protocols, conduct quality checks, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality and security standards. 

What You Bring 

• Experience in Supervision & Research: Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of 20 or more in a research, healthcare, or social services setting. 

• Strong Communication & Leadership Skills: Ability to provide clear guidance, constructive feedback, and professional support to diverse teams. 

• Technical Proficiency: Comfort with survey software, tablets, Microsoft Office applications, and troubleshooting basic tech issues. 

• Sensitivity & Professionalism: Ability to interact with older adults and individuals with disabilities with care and respect. 

• Flexibility & Problem-Solving: Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and independently manage multiple tasks. 

Availability & Travel Requirements 

• Must be available Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST. 

• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance. 

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the state of Ohio. 

• Must have access to private Wi-Fi, a computer, and a printer for remote work responsibilities.
