Primary duties include:
- Providing clerical support to our Director of Bridge Programs
- Not necessary to know how to play Bridge or understand the game (we can teach you!)... however, helpful if you have this knowledge
- Assist Members with any questions during the game or lesson process
- Welcomes Members and guests for in-person games and lessons
- Set up areas for lessons and games to be held
- Ensure tables are set up and ready for bridge games or lessons
- Create the sets of cards through the card machine
- Put bidding boxes, table number cards, and Bridgemates on each table (and any other materials required by the Bridge Coordinator)
- Coordinate any bridge workshops for the season
- Work through logistics of workshops with the Director of Bridge Programs
- Keep track of all Member reservations and cancellations
- Answer Member phone calls and resolve inquires and questions
- Attend Bridge Committee Meetings
- Record and distribute minutes for the Bridge Committee Meetings
- Maintain calendar on the Member website
Education and/or Experience:
- One (1) year of clerical and/or hospitality service with member or guest engagement at an upscale private club, resort/hotel, or similar environment in the hospitality field, is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required
- Proficiency in Jonas and MembersFirst, is preferred
- Must be able to understand the functionality of different types of smartphones to assist with technical assistance
- Highly professional demeanor, outgoing and positive personality
- Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with speed and accuracy
Physical Demands:
· Grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 30 lbs.
· Required to use hands/fingers to handle or feel in order to use telephone keypad and computer keyboard and mouse
· Must be able to remain in a standing position at a maximum of 50% of the time
· Withstand moderate noise levels
Pay & Benefits:
This is a Seasonal (November - April), full-time, hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime. Hourly pay is competitive and varies depending on the candidate's experience. Evening hours once per month and one working Saturday required.
