QUALIFICATIONS:

Physical Demands:  Walking, lifting and carrying 50 lbs. plus, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling, talking, hearing, smelling, near and far acuity, depth perceptions, color vision and field vision.

Physical Surrounding:  Exposure to weather, to wet and/or humid conditions.  Exposure to noise, and atmospheric conditions.

Hazards:  Potential exposure to traffic, water, high pressure water, close work with moving and mechanical parts and components. 

Critical Skills/Expertise:  Basic grammar, reading and math are needed. Mechanical skills and helpful but not required. The ability to work alone and with others.  Interpersonal relations and organizational skills. A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

Essential Skills:  The position requires a positive attitude, team player mentality, the ability to converse with the general public, and the ability to multi-task and change priorities quickly.

Essential Functions:

The position assists and supports Superintendents in Utilities, Buildings and Grounds, Streets and Storm Water. The position may require painting, turning hydrant valves, mowing, shoveling, raking or other various, miscellaneous jobs and duties as required and assigned by the Town Manager or town appointed person.

Assist other employees with their workloads when needed.
