Job Description - Seasonal Lumberyard Worker/Outside Yard Attendant

Austin Builders Supply a family-owned and operated lumberyard and hardware store located in Austin, MN has an opening for a seasonal candidate to join their team working in the lumberyard.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic and positive personality.

Duties:

Job duties include, but are not limited to: Loading/unloading lumber and other building materials, pulling orders, loading customer material, stocking lumber bins, strapping loads, pulling/backing trailers, delivery of materials to job site, use of forklift and ability to operate saws to cut material. Cleaning and organizing the yard as well as other general warehouse duties. Candidate is also responsible for maintaining a safe environment at all times.

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to obtain a DOT health card.

Ability to lift 100lbs.

Ability to operate a forklift and back a trailer is preferred, but willing to train. Knowledge of construction materials preferred.

Must be willing to work outside in varying temperatures and be able to stand/move for long periods of time.

Must be able to problem solve, be able to follow a work schedule and arrive on time.

This position is more than just delivery and does require manual labor.

Schedule consists of daytime hours Monday-Saturday.

Must be 18 years of age to be eligible.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
