Our warehouse associates are responsible for making sure that our garments are up to the standards for which Generation Tux has built its reputation. 

Seasonal Tailor Job Description
We are looking to employ a Seasonal Tailor to join our alterations team. The primary job function is to lengthen and shorten pant and jacket hems. All our jackets have telescopic sleeves for ease in alterations. The additional responsibilities include replacing buttons, mend pockets, and linings and small repairs. 

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure garments to meet required length
• Labeling customer garments and articles and recording the alterations required
• Use a sewing machine to make length adjustments on pant and jacket hems
• Using irons and pressing machines to erase the creases on garments and other articles
• Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order
• Other duties as assigned by management 

Requirements

• The ability to learn how to safely use different types of sewing machines
• Good hand-eye coordination
• The ability to work under time constraints and fast fast-paced environment
• Patient, detail-oriented, and take pride in the work completed
• Able to sit/stand for an entire working day

Preferred

• Sewing experience
• Knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques
