Job Description:
This is a position that will be REQUIRED to be on location from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This position is seasonal only, and will last from January 15, 2025 to April 15, 2025. It can be a repeat venture as we are always looking for season help. As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for the initial data compiling and entering of the required individual and business tax returns. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of tax preparation and are looking to make a positive impact during the busy tax season.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction: Occasional phone calls, on behalf of the partners, trying to gather more information.
Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing and filing individual tax returns under the guidance of experienced tax professionals.
Document Management: Organize and review client documents, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
Data Entry: Accurately input tax data into software systems.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic mathematical skills, and proficiency in using computers and tax software.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Attitude: Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Availability: Flexibility to work extended hours during peak tax season (January-April).
