Job Description - Seasonal Warehouse Operator

Description

Basic Function: Primarily responsible for day to day operation of warehouse logistics and inventory.

Requirements

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct periodic warehouse inventory.
  • Communicate order/inventory needs to warehouse manager.
  • Accurate barrel tracking.
  • Management of logistics (moving of raw material, IBCs and finished goods).
  • Accurate recordkeeping and reporting (filling out oflogs and documents).
  • Weigh aging barrels and record data results.
  • Ensure Barreling QC standards are achieved.
  • Ensure Barreling accuracy is achieved.
  • Maintain QC checklist and standards set by warehouse and production management.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness standards.
  • Aid in oversight and monitoring of incoming barrel quality.
  • Perform routine leak searches and repair leaking barrels.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Immediately report all safety, environmental, and quality issues to Warehouse manager.
  • Unload barrel trucks safely and effectively, using required equipment.
  • Maintain and upkeep all equipment, IT, and phones.
  • Picking and building pallets for incoming/ outgoing P0s for internal and external orders.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND VISUAL SKILLS:

  • Must have ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Must have ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
  • Must have ability to use all senses to ensure consistency and quality in the production, barreling and bottling processes.
  • Must have ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job function.
  • Must have ability to use hands in a precise and repetitive manner for periods of 8 -10 hours a day.
  • Must have ability to visually inspect ingredients and ensure that they meet all necessary standards.
  • Must have ability to accurately measure and fill mash tanks, fermenters, stills, holding tanks, barrels, bottles and cleaning equipment.
  • Must have good organizational skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to use logical or rational thinking to solve problems.
  • Must have ability to perform intensive physical work; may be required to lift up to 150 pounds occasionally with assistance, up to 50 pounds independently and frequently and perform such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to 10 hours without sitting.
