Seasonal Warehouse Staff

Veritas Press is a Christian organization dedicated to providing the best classical Christian education materials and services anywhere. We are in need of warehouse help through our sales season.

Description:

Assist Warehouse Supervisor with daily operations of warehouse, primarily to include pulling, packing, and shipping of orders.

Some Responsibilities:

1. Pulling inventory for completed orders.


2. Checking orders pulled.


3. Packing and shipping completed orders.


4. Receive inventory from vendors.


5. Track shipments when applicable.


6. Check inventory on shelf on request.


7. Assist with annual warehouse inventory.


8. Move and re-shelve inventory after annual catalog completion.


9. Assist with logistics and packing for conventions and events.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Minimum 16 years of age.


2. Conversant with the Reformed Faith and Classical Education from a Christian worldview according to the VSA Statement of Faith and Philosophy.


3. Good written and oral communication skills.


4. Able to maintain courteous and professional disposition when dealing with co-workers.


5. Able to work diligently without much direct supervision.


6. Work to constantly expand abilities by gaining further training in areas of weakness.


7. Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.


8. Detail Oriented

Physical Demands:

1. Standing, walking lifting, and sitting for long periods of time


2. Typing on QWERTY style keyboard


3. Viewing of lighted computer monitor


4. Speaking and Hearing


5. Reaching and bending


6. Lifting up to 50 lbs


7. Using hands to perform tasks


8. Working in industrial warehouse conditions (climate controlled) around and utilizing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts


9. Exposure to dust and dirt

Education:

1.  A high school diploma preferred (may be waived for talented students still completing high school).
