Greater Nashua Mental Health is looking for a Second Shift Coordinator to join our Emergency Services team! The Coordinator works second shift and weekend shifts to assist the Emergency Services Program Manager in all areas of management of Emergency Services Teams. Oversees the second shift operations of the ES team. Supports the hiring, training, and supervision of second shift and weekend ES Clinicians and Crisis Support Specialists. Provides direct face to face crisis intervention contacts in the office, community, and hospital settings. Completes administrative tasks to help maintain and develop the Emergency Services Team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the Emergency Services Director in the absence of the ES Program Manager and ES Assistant Manager
Oversees the general operations of 2nd shift staff, including leading a daily deployment meeting, ensuring routine safety checks are conducted, ensuring the shift log is continued from 1st shift, and other such tasks
Provides supervisory support to the Afterhours agency On Call Team and ACT Teams as needed
Provides training, oversight, supervision and performance reviews to 2nd shift and Weekend ES Clinicians, Telehealth-clinician(s) and the Crisis Support Specialists
Maintains knowledge of Emergency Services and the Rapid Response System as well as agency policies and procedures, and is familiar with other services provided within the agency and community
Ensures that 2nd shift and weekend shift safety checks, van inspection, and other logistical tasks are completed each shift timely
Reviews and monitors daily safety checks across all shifts both in the building and in the ES van to ensure staff remain safe
Provides office based urgent care appointments and hospital discharges
Participates in rapid response deployments into the community, at least weekly to support the mission of ES and to demonstrate leadership
Participates in the Agency Afterhours On-Call and ES Supervisor On-Call Rotation
Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or similar field Licensed
3 to 5 years related work experience
Knowledge of Crisis Intervention services, risk assessment/management, trauma informed care principles, and integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders
Knowledge of NH involuntary admission criteria and conditional discharge revocation processes
Knowledge of family dynamics and systems theory
Knowledge of Rapid Response and Access point systems
Leadership ability in work setting
Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff
Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to interact with community stakeholders (e.g. school personnel, pediatricians) to promote department and agency programs
Be flexible to work non-traditional shifts in order to staff this 24/7 program as needed
Ability to coach/teach effectively
Ability to multitask, and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments
Ability to exercise judgment. Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment
Ability to analyze and develop statistical data
Strong organization skills and ability to see a project through timely
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Email, Word, EXCEL)
Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile with liability insurance in the amount required by agency policy
