As the Second Shift Supervisor,  you will be the cornerstone of our nighttime operations, driving  efficiency and leading a small team of capable employees. Your  leadership will be instrumental in guiding the team through their tasks,  ensuring every detail is accounted for and work is done to completion.  Creating a positive work environment is crucial for morale and  productivity, so your dedication to fostering such an atmosphere will be  invaluable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise all night shift warehouse employees and drivers, providing regular performance feedback and coaching.
• Oversee employee scheduling, training, and development, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
• Assign and distribute work to meet customer needs, monitoring progress and quality.
• Function as the primary contact for second shift-related inquiries and provide effective solutions to operational challenges.
• Manage delivery routes to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Identify areas for process improvement and support operational excellence initiatives.
• Review, edit, and create policy and procedural documentation.
• Ensure a safe work environment, conducting facility safety inspections and enforcing safety policies.
• Perform warehouse duties as needed.
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and people skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Capacity to collaborate with team members, vendors, and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a similarly sized warehouse.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current driver's license.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience leading teams of ten or more warehouse associates.
• Forklift operator certification preferred.

Schedule: Full time | Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Depending on experience
