Job Description

Leads the Secondary Inspection team sorting product that has been deemed as possibly being defective and separate the acceptable product from the non-acceptable product.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring safety of the team
  • Assist Quality Manager with Training of Secondary Inspection team and report pertaining the area.
  • Sorts, packages, and binds acceptable product based on quality criteria
  • Able to use tools such as calipers and tape measures to properly measure the product.
  • Able to use banding tools and band cutters to repackage the product.
  • Understands schedules and daily reporting forms, prioritize teamwork load based on shipping and customer demand.
  • Able to learn the different defects of the products, good eyesight, at minimum average results on  Farnsworth–Munsell 100 hue test
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to work 8 hour shifts in varying temperatures
  • Able to operate some machinery such as saws
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, sweeping and dusting
  • Able to work overtime if needed
  • Able to wear eye protection, ear protection and protective footwear
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write
  • Experience using computers and Excel
  • Industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • Preferred experience with Blue yonder and Oracle

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willing to be trained to drive a forklift
  • Wears proper PPE when and where required.
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Reasonable interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as a team member and team leader with a diverse workforce
  • Must be able to see different shades of color and patterns
