Position Overview
The Secondary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for leading engaging, high-quality instruction, as well as providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to develop academic excellence, virtue, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction.
Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
Uphold school-wide expectations for professionalism and student character development.
Teach mathematics courses for grades 7-12, covering subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and other appropriate topics based on the curriculum.

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with school standards.
Assess student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the math curriculum and student learning experiences.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and behavior.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related activities.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
Support extracurricular math-related activities, such as math clubs or competitions, if applicable.
What You’ll Teach
Basic principles and concepts related to elementary school mathematics in the areas of number sense and numeration, patterns and functions, geometry and measurement, and data analysis (with background in statistics).
Probability and statistics.
Euclidean geometry.
Discrete/finite mathematics.
History of mathematics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Mathematics field preferred) • Minimum of 24 semester hours in math-related coursework or Praxis Test in content area • Strong understanding of mathematics concepts • Willingness to attend AP training
Note: A Colorado teaching license is not required for this position.
Bonus (not required): • Teaching experience • Experience working with high school students
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Starting at $48,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
