Other benefits include FSA (medical and dependent care), Pet Insurance, Sick Time, and PTO based on years of service Position Overview: STEM School Highlands Ranch is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secondary Physical Education Teacher to join our team of educators committed to fostering a culture of wellness, teamwork, and lifelong fitness. This individual will play a vital role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among middle and/or high school students. Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with state and national standards Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students Promote student development in physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success Supervise students in various settings, including the gym, field, and during school events Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution Valid state teaching license with appropriate endorsement in Physical Education Highly qualified content knowledge in secondary-level Physical Education Experience with Learning Management Systems and Google tools preferred Minimum of 1 year teaching experience preferred Preferred Attributes: Passion for physical education and student well-being Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff Commitment to continuous professional growth Essential Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds Ability to stand or walk for 90 minutes Ability to run short distances Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday School Year: 2025 - 2026 School Days: 191 This position will be open until filled, but will not be open past: April 30, 2025  #SW2025
