Secondary Supervisor

Description

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Secondary Supervisor on day shift who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location.  This person will report to the Manager of Secondary Operations. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

• Responsible for the overall day to day operations of his/her cost centers.
• Actively participate in the training and evaluation of his/her employees.
• Provide daily and shift to shift communications.
• Yearly performance reviews of employees.
• Responsible for monitoring the quality and performance objectives of their departments.
• Develop and write procedures.
• Ensure that all employees under their direction are informed of and adhere to all pertinent company rules, policies and regulations and obtain interpretations when necessary.
• Administers details of the labor agreement between the company and local 502.
• Recommends equipment and manpower needs along with providing input on continuous process improvement projects.
• Administers company safety and related programs as it applies to their departments.
• Ensures that the necessary action is taken to prevent injury and loss.
• Delegates to their employees the responsibility and the authority necessary for the departments to function efficiently and effectively. 
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write. Must be able to comprehend procedures, process documents and work instructions.
• Good people and communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of powdered metal process.
• Ability to do basic math with decimals and fractions.
• Basic computer skills.

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
