Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift - 3 12-Hour Shifts. Every third weekend rotation.
Work Location: West Hospital (Onsite)
Department Supported: Adult Medical Step-down Unit - West 3C
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensures accurate and complete information is received from patient to facilitate coordination and communication between physician, unit staff, and ancillary departments. Schedules daily tests and procedures, maintains comprehensive up-to-date record of all patient tests and procedures, and signs patients in and out of unit. Provides receptionist functions for the unit and alerts unit management to issues or needs within the unit regarding policies, procedures, or practices. Performs all clerical duties associated with supporting the Patient Care Unit.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be able to complete required (if applicable) training program.
• Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

3 Months: Demonstrates proficiency in unit workflows, patient scheduling, record maintenance, and communication with minimal supervision.
6 Months: Independently manages clerical and coordination responsibilities while ensuring accurate information flow and supporting efficient unit operations.
12 Months: Serves as a trusted resource who drives operational efficiency, supports team members, and proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement
