Job Title: Armed Security Officer – Modus Real Estate
Location: Downtown Denver, Colorado
Shift: Overnight | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | 6 days per week with rotating day off
Pay Rate: $19.50 – $21.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking highly motivated Armed Security Officers to secure Modus Real Estate, a premier location in Downtown Denver. This role involves active overnight patrols (both foot and vehicle), access control, incident response, and high-visibility presence. Officers must exhibit a professional demeanor, exercise sound judgment, and communicate effectively with clients, the public, and law enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Presence & Deterrence: Serve as the first line of defense through high-visibility patrols and fixed post security.
- Patrol Operations: Perform regular interior/exterior foot and vehicle patrols to ensure safety and compliance.
- Access Control: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
- Incident Response: Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, or suspicious activities; report findings clearly and promptly.
- Customer Interaction: Assist tenants, visitors, and staff with inquiries while maintaining a helpful and courteous attitude.
- Hazard Identification: Detect and address safety concerns and vulnerabilities in real time.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with fellow officers and local law enforcement as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Age: Must be 21 years or older
- Licensing:
- Valid Denver Merchant Guard Card
- Legal firearm possession and authorization to carry while on duty
- Driving Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (no permits; held for at least 3 years)
- Clean motor vehicle record (no major violations or at-fault accidents within 3 years)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of firearm experience in a professional setting preferred
- Transportation: Reliable vehicle to commute to/from work
- Technology:
- Basic smartphone proficiency (text, email, GPS, reports)
- Access to a working email account
- Background Check: Must pass criminal background screening and urinalysis (site-dependent)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, jog, crouch, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs in various weather conditions
Preferred Skills
- Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong verbal/written communication and de-escalation skills
- High emotional intelligence and situational awareness
$19.50 - $21 an hour
