Securement Specialist

Securement Specialist will spot, prep, secure and tarp glass freight on various trailers and intermodal as well as containers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate the yard truck to spot trailers for loading/unloading and pull trailers out of the dock. 
• Setup/Prepare trailers for loading or unloading. 
• Tarp and secure glass freight.
• lnspect clean and replace securement equipment as needed. 
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures established. 
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Employee will be subject to high levels of noise, smells and extreme temperatures associated with a warehouse/shop environment.
• The employee will be exposed to industrial equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts. ' Team member will be subject to varying schedules based on operational needs including dayshift, nightshift, and weekends.

• Knowledge of glass securement and tarping. 
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Proficient verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to focus in a high paced warehouse environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS. 

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
