Part-Time Security Staff

About Us:

The Pabst Theater Group (PTG Live Events LLC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin is seeking an individual for their Event Management team for operation in its venues: The Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom and the Miller High Life Theater, as well as outside events promoted by the organization. Responsibilities for this position include communicating directions, enforcing parking permits and venue rules, acting as a greeter to PTG’s venues, controlling venue access for artists, staff, and patrons. 

The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly independent, efficient communicator and a strong team player with the energy and professionalism to handle any situation our business inherently encounters.

Event security or staffing experience is helpful, but is not a must for the position.

Responsibilities include:

• Access control to both interior and exterior locations in all venues


• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. 


• Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior. 


• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities


• Checking credentials and screening individuals entering venues


• Assisting tours and production staff with parking and street management logistics


• Assist Event Operations and Production teams with other duties as assigned

• Experience training employees


• Knowledge and interest in popular culture and live entertainment


• Other general qualities would include strong work ethic and organizational skills, ability to work autonomously and strong analytical thinking skills


• The position requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough or difficult surfaces, and recurring stooping.


• The position may require specific, but common physical characteristics and abilities, such as mobility and dexterity.

Work Schedule: Variable, but majority of hours would be 2nd shift and weekends.

This is a union-represented position in collective bargaining.
