The Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor helps implement and maintain EHS policies that meet regulatory and ISO standards, supports training and hazard assessments, and partners with cross‑functional teams to improve overall site safety. The Site Security Manager protects site personnel, assets, information and reputation by overseeing physical and information security, managing risk programs, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. This role collaborates with internal security teams and external authorities, serving as the site’s main security contact while leading governance, investigations, contractor management, and security training.
Job Responsibilities
Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor:
Working on projects and supporting a team to fi nd the best solutions
Continuously improve processes by implementing risk management and prevention initiatives
Building relationships both within GKN and with our external partners, collaborating across functions, segmentsand teams to deliver excellence
Support with EHS training activities and initiatives
Develop and/or revise EHS policies, procedures, forms and check sheets
Assist with implementing controls to manage waste streams (ZERO to Landfi ll – 2025)
Assist with conducting EHS focused audits and inspections (OSHA, ADEM, ISO, etc.)
Site Security Manager:
Managing operational security at the site on daily basis. Conducting an annual (more frequent if required) Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA) to identifysecurity risks and ensure that appropriate and proportionate controls which comply with group standards andmeet contractual and regulatory requirements are implemented.
Contractual and performance management of third party manned guarding services.
Liaison with the Site Leadership Team, Business Line Security Leads, the Central Security Team and other relevantGKNA stakeholders.
Liaison with Contracting Authorities (CA), other government bodies and local law enforcement agencies (ifappropriate).
Information Security – eff ectively managing the creation; handling; sharing; transfer, communication and disposalof classifi ed data and information, in accordance with regulatory and best practice requirements.
Ownership of the site Incident Management Plan and processes.
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in Health, Safety and Environment
HSE knowledge and competence
Understanding of industry, national and local HSE requirements
Understanding of ISO certifi cations (14001, 50001, 45001)
Appointment subject to obtaining necessary security clearances.
Capability and capacity to absorb/take-on additional security responsibilities.
Understanding of Threat & Risk Assessment methodology and process.
Understanding of physical and technical security controls.
Experience in the development of Plans, Processes and Procedures.
Ability to manage third-party Manned Guarding contractor.
U.S. Citizen per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
GKN Aerospace experience
Experience of Security Risk Management in GKNA or previous role.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills - an eff ective communicator both written and verbal skills.
