As a Security Agent, you will serve as a visible presence throughout the property, responding to incidents, assisting guests, and helping protect hotel assets while delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Summary:
The Security Agent is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of guests, employees, visitors, and hotel property. This role requires strong observation skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of situations. Security Agents play a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience while supporting hotel operations and emergency response procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, parking facilities, back-of-house areas, and hotel grounds
Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems
Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, emergencies, accidents, disturbances, and security incidents
Investigate incidents and prepare accurate, detailed, and timely reports
Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a guest-focused approach
Assist guests, employees, and visitors with safety-related requests and concerns
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted-access areas as needed
Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity
Assist with emergency response procedures, evacuations, and crisis situations
Maintain key control, lost and found procedures, and other security-related programs
Coordinate with management and emergency responders when necessary
Maintain confidentiality regarding hotel operations, guests, employees, and investigations
Support a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional guest service
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior security or customer service experience preferred
Valid California Guard Card required or ability to obtain upon hire
Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record
Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or emergency situations
Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports
Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor
Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently
Flexibility to workdays, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking for extended periods, often for much of a shift
Patrolling multiple floors, stairwells, parking facilities, and outdoor areas throughout the property
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing stairs
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
Prompt and effective response to emergency situations throughout the property
Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
Operating radios, computers, surveillance systems, vehicles, and other security equipment
Observing and assessing conditions throughout the property and identifying potential safety or security concerns, with or without reasonable accommodation
Communicating effectively in person, by telephone, and via two-way radio
