Job Description - Security Consultant
Basic Job Description:
·
Provide services for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and general IT support to enable the Enhanced Ontology Hub in the
Product Lifecycle Digital Thread
("PLDT”) initiatives.
Participate in planning, definition of best practices, and collaborative meetings in support of these goals.
Job Functions / Responsibilities:
·
Define the core infrastructure resources required to enable the Ontology Hub, i.e. compute resources, storage resources, networking resources.
·
Co-design and build an effective architecture and environment in collaboration with the members of the PLDT and MBDT PCC teams (Tools & Data Integration, Solution Architecture).
·
Support the Digital Thread (DT) Architect and Delivery Lead to engage technology providers and architect cloud-based application system designs (COTS/FOSS) compliant with applicable standards (NIST/DFARS)
·
Drive the internal approvals (Legal, ITC, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure) for the infrastructure, applications and services to be deployed and support closure of the remediation actions.

Deploy commercial software applications, Open Source Software, related IT components and code developed by the PLDT teams into AWS environment in support of the”
Ontology Hub

Enable delivery of virtual infrastructure deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code assets (e.g.
terraform / shell scripts ) and related technologies to enable deployments into multiple environments.
·
Drive the use of "best practice” serverless technologies, methods, and tools for engineers within the PLDT teams.
·
Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
·
Provide general IT support to the
PLDT team /Ontology Hub
users ( Identity Mgmt, Network Access Requests, laptop deployments, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills:
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in design, implementation and administration for hardware and systems portfolios
Experience with infrastructure compute, storage, cyber, and network technologies and resources
Experience working with systems configuration management, orchestration, and infrastructure as code with tools such as
Ansible
and/or
Terraform
Experience designing and operating highly scalable, secure, high performing systems and platforms
Experience deploying new cloud native platforms and systems in highly hardened/secure environments.
Experience with
Amazon Web Services
(AWS) Cloud Technologies, including the use of Infrastructure related AWS Services and related technologies such as
VPC, IAM, EC2, EBS, S3, ECR, ECS, Lambda, AWS Backup, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, Certificate Manager, CloudTrial, Route53, Config, EventBridge, KMS, SNS
Experience with integration and use of AWS services with custom developed applications, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source software (OSS)
Advanced skills in Linux administration, configuration, and software installation
Prior experience in application management and release methodologies
Prior experience in application controls and compliance
Experience with
GT, Cyber
other rules for controls and logging, which are auditable
Experience of source code management e.g.
Git
Excellent scripting skills in
bash, Perl, Python and/or Ruby
Excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple business, IT and engineering teams
Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information
High level of motivation, self-starter, ability to demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance
Behavioral:
