SECURITY DISPATCHER

Position: Security Dispatcher\n\nDepartment: Campus Police \n\nShift: \n\nStatus: Full-Time / 80 hours per pay period / Weekends \u0026 holidays\n\nFacility: Upper Valley Medical Center\n\nResponsible for dispatching Security calls, completion of dispatch log sheets, and the card access system. Assists patients, visitors, and employees by giving directions, over the phone, accurately. Controls parking and entrances to hospital by use of the Matrix card access system.\n\nEducation\n\nMinimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED High School completion / GED\n\n \n\n \n\nLicensure/Certification/Registration\n\nMust pass Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) and Computerized Criminal History (CCH) certification requirements within thirty days of employment and maintain certification throughout employment\n\n \n\nExperience\n\nMinimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience No prior job-related work experience\n\nPreferred experience: Previous experience in law enforcement as dispatcher desirable\n\n \n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\n * Computer skills desirable\n * Ability to acquire International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Basis Training\n * Ability to acquire Incident Command system (ICS) \u2013 IS 100 I.E.B\n * This position requires an individual able to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm a pleasant to the public and facility personnel.\n\n\n
