The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top Retail Organization that has an opening for a remote Security Engineer - IT Security.
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
Possibility of Extension: Yes
Rate ranges - $75/hr to $95/hr on W2 (DOE)
Background:
Join our Network Infrastructure Team, responsible for managing LAN/WAN/WLAN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VoIP, and more. This cohesive team collaborates effectively and operates with a high level of autonomy.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with network and firewall operations, management, and administration to protect the information assets and technology infrastructures of the organization.
Builds Ad-Hoc (simple) Rules and network changes as needs arise.
Participating in team and project meetings.
Reviewing and processing firewall requests.
Implementing and managing firewall rules.
Contribute to network architecture discussions.
Execute minor network changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network-related projects.
Required Skills:
Firewall experience (Palo Alto preferred)
Network experience (Cisco/Arista)
Routing/Switching experience.
Cloud experience is nice to have. We use Azure. Arista is also nice to have.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with VoIP systems.
Familiarity with load balancers.
Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security).
Standout Qualifications:
Both Networking and Firewall (Palo Alto) experience.
Proficiency with Cisco/Arista networking equipment and Palo Alto firewalls.
