Cornerstone Family Healthcare is actively recruiting for a Security Guard to join our growing team in Newburgh, NY.

RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $17.00 per hour

WORK LOCATION(S): Newburgh, NY (must be willing and able to travel to other Cornerstone sites)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm

The Security Guard will ensure the overall safety and security of the building.

• Patrols and circulates the building to ensure security of the building, employees and patients.
• Answers calls related to disturbances within and outside the building during hours of operation.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Monitors cameras and security systems to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor cameras to make sure all patients are clear from loitering.
• Informs building guests and patients of safety regulations and policies.
• Maintains a log of daily activities, including any irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and evict violators from premises.
• Receives and signs for all packages that enter the building and deliver to appropriate department.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Completes incident reports and maintains a log of security related incidents in the building. Reports major incidents to the Site Administrator.
• Maintains keys for the building and a log of employee possession.
• Patrols the parking areas to enforce employee parking policies.
• Patrols and monitors
• Attend and participate in monthly department, All Staff and other required meetings.
• Is responsible for courier run as needed including:

*Transporting medical charts between sites.

*Picking up mail and delivering it to other sites as directed.

*Deposits: pick up from all sites and deliver to Administration

• Be familiar with and adhere to all clinical, administrative, and general policies and procedures as outlined in the Cornerstone Family Healthcare Policy and Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook.
• Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Cornerstone Family Healthcare including, but not limited to, patient confidentiality, financials, and employee relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED
• NYS 8- and 16-hour security training certificate which will need to be re-certified every year
• NYS Security License is a plus
• 1-3 years previous experience as a Security Guard
• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation required
