Job Summary
VetSec, a veteran-owned and operated security company, is looking for a dedicated Security Guard to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure a safe and secure environment for our facilities, assets, and personnel. We seek individuals with experience in public safety and security, known for their unwavering integrity. Veterans are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a visible and vigilant security presence.
- Monitor entrances and exits to allow only authorized personnel access to the facility.
- Take decisive action to address trespassing or unauthorized entry incidents promptly.
- Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor and enhance security measures.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to reports of suspicious activity or security incidents.
- Maintain accurate logs and detailed reports of daily activities and incidents.
Qualifications
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus but not required
- Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role is preferred.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures, especially those applicable in California.
- Familiarity with relevant California laws and regulations pertaining to security operations.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Proficiency in operating surveillance equipment and related technologies.
- Demonstrates high levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Strong observational skills and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
