Security Guard - Construction Entry Control Point

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for a full-time Security Guard. This position is Monday through Friday from 07:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The selected candidate will staff SDL’s construction entry control points, verify badges of all construction personnel, inspect construction materials entering the site, respond to alarms and emergencies, and maintain the security of the SDL construction sites. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet and assist construction personnel
• Process visitors and issue security badges
• Maintain visit logs daily, scan and attach check-in form to the visit log
• Inspect construction materials entering and leaving the site
• Ensure security protocol is followed
• Conduct security patrols on foot
• Respond to alarms and emergencies
• Aid as needed during emergency response

• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
• Must live within local commuting distance to North Logan, Utah
• Punctuality and reliability
• Ability to handle and protect sensitive information     
• Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with a wide range of internal and external customers
• Professional, friendly demeanor
• Computer experience including Microsoft Office software, and various office equipment
• Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Exceptional observation and decision-making skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to prioritize assignments

• Active security clearance
• Ability to work extended hours, covering other shifts as needed

• $29,000 - $57,000
  • Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience
