Security Guard (logistics yard)

We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our Team as a Security Guard! Our Security Guard will monitor the facility and protect property from possible criminal activity. 

Schedule:  3 days per week, 12 hours per day (overnight )

Job Responsibilities:

•  Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to management.
•  Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors facility traffic.
•  Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
•  After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
•  Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
•  Identifies persons suspected of criminal activity and reports information to law enforcement.
•  Ensures discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties do not enter the premises.
•  Inspects and maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
•  Ensures fixed and mobile light fixtures are operating.
•  Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: 

•  Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
•  Authoritative verbal communication skills.
•  Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
•  Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.

Education and Experience:

•  High school diploma or equivalent required.
•  Relevant experience a plus, but not required.
•  Valid Driver’s License required.

Physical Requirements: 

•  Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
•  Ability to enter and exit vehicle and push gates open or close and during potential extreme weather.
•  Prolonged periods sitting in a vehicle and monitoring gates and surveillance equipment.
•  Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
