Security Intel Analyst/ Security Social Media Analyst Experience Required!

Pay: $33.65 / Hr

Schedule: Dependant on site needs. Those that have open availability are highly desired!

The Intel Analyst monitors, tracks, and reports on intelligence and media sources on an ongoing basis for events of significance, loosely defined as events that have the potential to, or are already impacting Capital One facilities, operations or employees, or a significant event that may cause questioning from the senior leadership.
Key duties include:
Using gathered information to quickly alert and ensure awareness to additional lines of business through direct communication and alert notifications.
Functioning as crisis/breaking news communicator during incidents with the potential to impact Capital One employees, operations or assets.
Quick to verify real-time news as it happens and be able to write a concise and accurate alert or advisory to be distributed within minutes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Directly monitoring reports on incidents that fall within the defined parameters.
Working closely with Intelligence Analysts for additional gathering, vetting and review of information.
Researching, collecting and reporting security intelligence for an identified geography or topic under direct management of Intelligence Analyst as needed.
Supporting SENTRY Intelligence and Analysis Team with requirements as directed.
Mentoring and educating new team members, explaining roles and responsibilities.
Co-creating standard operating procedures for secured spaces.
Providing security escorts around your secured space.
Building and maintaining business relationships with building teams, vendors, customers, and external security partners.
Conducting a multitude of audits on a regular cadence to ensure security integrity.
Providing in-depth post-incident debriefs to leadership.
General qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of learning, or equivalent experience.
Superior writing skills with strong attention to detail.
Quick-thinking and response time during crisis events.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Proven ability to operate effectively in a high pressure and time sensitive environment.
Superior research skills and familiar with performing open source research.
Strong familiarity with social media networking tools.
Professional demeanor.
Demonstrated team player.
Positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and prioritizing accordingly.
