Qualifications: What you need to bring 7+ years in law enforcement and/or Military Police C.I.D required. Previous experience in transportation industry preferred. Bilingual preferred. BS in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. Must possess advanced knowledge of the principles and techniques of investigations including areas such as interviewing, fact-finding, records checking, surveillance, and covert investigations. Must be able to plan, organize, conduct and coordinate through and complete investigations and to adapt investigative methods, techniques and procedures to specific situations. Must be able to be adapt actions taken as changing circumstances dictate. Must possess high levels of initiative effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
Pay Range: $38.00 - $45.00 Hourly

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Perform general and criminal investigation of criminal allegations of fraud, theft as well as employee misconduct. Provide guidance to local leadership for all potential security situations.
Lead efforts to limit the organization's risk of liability and exposure by ensuring assigned terminal leaders have current and accurate security assessment information. Determine continuing employment status of drivers/employees who are on-boarded pending background investigation. Analyze complaints or allegations and determines the scope, timing and directions of an investigation. Identify the issues involved and the type of evidence needed to comply with state and federal rules of evidence. Support customers and sales executives through business development initiatives. Monitor current transportation industry trends and technology adjusting to maintain a proactive approach to transportation security. Develop recommendations for local leadership teams relating to security effectiveness focusing on continually improving readiness and/or responses. Prepare/update procedures and/or training materials based on latest intelligence received. Obtain the facts and evidence required to determine if crime or policy violation has occurred. Conduct interviews to gather information relating to cases under criminal investigation and collect appropriate evidence ensuring maintenance of a legal chain of custody of evidence. Prepare and present testimony clearly and concisely to the district court, grand jury, administrative hearing and similar or related proceedings. Prepare comprehensive investigative reports, sworn statements, case tracking documents and related documentations. Coordinate investigations with other law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies and others. Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
