JOB SUMMARY: Manages all activities of the Security department employees to provide the best service and leadership possible for the Hospital. Is charged with the development of a viable plan to improve customer and employee satisfaction and safety on a continuing basis. Leads efforts associated with the development and implementation of crisis/emergency response and emergency operation plans. Develops employees to provide the best service, security, safety, and leadership possible for the Hospital.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Degree in law enforcement, security, emergency planning, social sciences, criminology or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and education may be acceptable.
2. Three to five years of experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management in a hospital setting or equivalent combination or education and experience.
3. Demonstrated written and verbal competency.
4. Current BLS certification.
5. Behavioral violence prevention certification as required.
6. Current knowledge of set up and maintenance for door locks and keys, surveillance cameras and badge access preferred.
7. Basic computer skills.
