Job Description - Security Monitor-Control Center Clerk



Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a dedicated individual to provide outstanding customer service while monitoring security screens and facilitating effective communication among customers, management, employees, vendors, and emergency services as needed within a commercial building. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with security and communication systems. The successful candidate will respond promptly to inquiries and handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to build rapport with a diverse clientele and ensure seamless operations within the control center. We are an equal opportunity employer.


-Position: Security Monitor-Control Center Clerk


-Location: Downtown Oahu (Honolulu, HI 96813)

-Key Responsibilities


Deliver excellent customer service by engaging professionally with property managers, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.


Answer and manage incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.


Oversee operations at the security desk to maintain a secure environment.


Effectively multitask to manage various duties throughout the shift.


Safely lift, push, or pull objects weighing between 10 and 25 pounds as needed.


Remain seated for extended periods and be able to bend, stand, stretch, and walk as required.


Monitor mechanical equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.


Experience in administration, or a related field is a plus, as it can enhance your ability to manage building systems effectively and ensure the safety and security of all facilities.


Perform additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned by property management.


-Skills/Requirements:


High school diploma or GED preferred.


Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.


Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.


Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.


A willingness to learn, grow, and adapt within the role.

-Schedule: Sunday to Friday 6am-2pm (6 days, 40+ hours a week)


-Compensation per hour: $18.33
