Job Description - Security Officer

Job description

We are looking for a Security Guard for our client in Burnsville, Ms. Pay is starting off at $12hr. You will be in training for about a week or 2 during the day but the normal schedule for the security will be working 7 on and 7 off. You will work 7 night shift straight then off 7 nights (12 hour shift), from 7pm-7am. You will start the week on a Thursday – Wednesday then off 7 nights Thursday-Wednesday.

Duties:

- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the security of the property

- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities

- Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and verifying credentials

- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including medical emergencies or fire outbreaks

- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and providing directions

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies in case of criminal activities or emergencies

- Conduct investigations into security breaches or incidents as required

- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property

- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Security Guard or similar role is preferred

- Knowledge of security operations and procedures is desirable

- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment is a plus

- Strong observation skills with attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively

- CPR, First Aid, or other relevant certifications are advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
