Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday | 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is seeking a reliable Full-Time Overnight Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at an active client site in Fort Collins. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment through regular patrols, controlled site access, and prompt response to security concerns.

This opportunity is well suited for individuals who remain alert during overnight shifts, communicate professionally, and are comfortable working independently while following established security procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled patrols of buildings, parking areas, and surrounding property.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated access points.
• Observe site activity and report suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, or policy violations.
• Help maintain a secure environment by providing a visible security presence.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or other security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify authorized access and document visitor or contractor activity when required.
• Complete accurate daily activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and client representatives in a timely manner.
• Follow post orders, emergency procedures, and company policies throughout each shift.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and responsibly while performing security duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts on a consistent schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related field.
• Experience conducting patrols and preparing incident reports.
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems or mobile security applications.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during unexpected situations.

Work Environment

• Primarily assigned to an active client site requiring continuous awareness.
• Combination of indoor and outdoor patrols throughout the shift.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, and routine inspections.
• Overnight work schedule in varying weather conditions when performing exterior patrols.
• Frequent interaction with client personnel, contractors, and emergency responders when necessary.
