As a Security Officer Access Screening in South Hill, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor site activity, and support security-related procedures. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and security-related policies at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, check badges and identification, and document visitor and contractor activity to help support authorized access throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, as assigned by site procedures.
• Prepare reports on daily activity, access-related concerns, and unusual events, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or perimeter issues that could affect site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
