Security Officer Access Specialist

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Saint George, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a busy retail location, where you will help manage entry points, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will maintain a visible presence, assist with routine patrols, and provide strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $17.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorization for entry, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Support opening and closing procedures, monitor high-traffic areas, and assist with directing people in a professional manner during busy periods and/or special situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
