As a Security Officer Educational Patrol in Farmington, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic college location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.67 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, students, and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or policy violations.
• Support campus operations by observing surroundings, reporting maintenance or hazard-related issues, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
